This position will be responsible for, but not limited to, performing all activities related to the Accounts Receivable Function such as: Cash Application, A/R Confirmations, Clearing for Month-End, Contract Review, Annual/Quarterly Audits and Special Projects assigned by Management. Additionally, this position will assist Management identify, design and implement creative business and technology solutions to increase operational efficiencies within the Team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform all areas of the cash application process (high volume level of transactions) and follow up on wire-transfers to ensure payments are promptly posted to the customer account.
Provide additional reporting and various support initiatives to all Divisions.
Reconcile and support credit card payments and chargebacks.
Clearing for Month End Process
Send A/R Confirmations to customers and assist with the various Internal/External Audits.
Detailed analysis and obtain back-ups based on policy for the issuance of any credit memo or debit memo.
Special Projects assigned by Management
Timeliness and accuracy
Effective communication and collaboration with other departments
Identification of deficiencies, failures and inefficiencies
Makes recommendations to the group and assists in the implementation of new business practices and technology solutions
Evaluates the implementation efforts, making adjustments as needed
Creates models (mathematically or through simulation) of each problem in effort to create solutions.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Advanced knowledge and expertise with MS Excel (V-lookup/Pivots/Macros)
In-depth knowledge with MS Word and Outlook. Ability to work in an open system environment with multiple software applications.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional level of accuracy in a fast paced and growing organization.
Comfortable in dealing with big volume of accounting transactions to develop innovative ideas to manage it effectively.
Strong multi-tasking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality, assume responsibility, display initiative and exercise good judgment.
Possess strong deductive reasoning, analytical dexterity, and problem solving skills.
Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
SAP knowledge and experience with R/3 Accounting Module (FI)
Experience working with large volumes of transactions for a Billion dollar company
Understanding of the Consumer Electronics and Mobile Business
Experience with GERP, BI, PowerPoint, Access and Visio preferred but not required.
