Healthfirst Sr Analyst Retention in New York, New York

Position Summary:

The Retention CoE Senior Analyst is responsible for developing and providing the analytical support to the Retention CoE team to develop, execute, and continuously improve upon a strategy that supports retention across the entire Medicaid, Medicare and Integrated Products market portfolios.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with finance analysis, actuary, enrollment, claims, and other departments as necessary to provide reporting and analytics that support retention objectives

  • Compile information from multiple sources to prepare and distribute time-sensitive and accurate reporting for internal and external audiences

  • Design, create, modify, support and maintain monthly reports highlighting effects of retention efforts

  • Create models to forecast retention performance and financial outcomes

  • Provide assistance in preparing summary reports for on-going management meetings

  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting as required by senior management and external partners

  • Analysis and automation of manual functions on an as needed basis

  • Research, propose, and implement analytics enhancements as needed

  • Effectively manage projects by setting clear project milestones and deliverables; clearly communicating goals, objectives and responsibilities. Lead and/or participate in meetings to gather and specify departmental requirements for such projects

  • Develop applications and reports using Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Tableau and pertinent databases

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

  • Analytical work experience within the healthcare industry

  • Programming experience with SAS, including expertise in base SAS data set, proc sql and macros, and familiarity with Alteryx

  • Experience working with Salesforce, Tableau or DOMO

  • Ability to work within multiple data tables and data sets

  • Ability to analyze large data sets

  • Experience in managing projects across multiple departments

  • Extensive work experience with Microsoft Excel is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including technical staff, internal non-technical staff, testing teams, and business stakeholders

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently work in an environment of high level performance
