UNIVERSAL Technologies is hiring a Business Analyst for a position in NYC.


This request is for a Business Analyst to document the existing system processes, provide recommendation to improve existing work flows, provide effective planning to maximize full operational benefits, and supply professional change management skills. As part of the project, the analyst will provide transition support for designated staff as necessary.

Candidate will perform research, analysis of work flow systems, business rules and policies to enhance internal operations and computer systems and develop system requirement documents and technical specification documents for computer applications that will support those polices.

Consultant will also compile/ provide feedback for system reference documentation and provide feedback for developed test scripts/ scenarios.


  • Lead in the research, analysis, and development of project plans, work flows,business rules, and policies to enhance internal operations and computer systems.

  • Lead the requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders.

  • Work closely with Relationship Managers, Project Managers and other team members, and stakeholders to achieve desired results.

  • Provide review of design documentation completed by other business analysts.

  • Prepare business requirements documentation and functional requirements documentation, as well as high-level design documentation.

  • Analyze and document screen mockups (using Axure RP Pro) and screen flows, processes using (Visio), experience implementing projects in MS Dynamics environment.

  • Analyze and document requirements for reporting needs.

  • Facilitate compliance with State and agency policies by developing system requirements documents and technical specifications for computer applications that will support those policies


  • Must have 5 years of experience in business requirement gathering, project management, testing, creating workflows for systems, preparing user and functional requirements specifications.

  • Must have at least 4 years of demonstrated practice using MS Visio for flowcharting

  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing, disseminating and interpreting policies and procedures.

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of research and business analysis for client services and system enhancement.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in writing end user documentation/ user guides and testing scripts.

  • Strong experience in system planning, testing, piloting and system implementation

  • Demonstrated experience in Application, User Interface analysis and testing;understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies


  • Knowledge of using Axure for wire frame

  • Working knowledge of large-scale system integration and implementation

  • Knowledge of New York City financial policy and accounting practice.

  • Knowledge of using TOAD or other tools for data analysis.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate with staff of all levels as well as users and other divisions and agencies.

  • Experience in mentoring and planning knowledge transfer to other business analysts

  • Must have at least 1 years of demonstrated practice using MS Project and preparing the end user documentation
